Wishing the Judo Community a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year with Club Closure Dates

As the festive season approaches, it’s time to pause and reflect on the year we’ve shared as a judo community. This special time offers a chance to celebrate our achievements, enjoy the company of friends and family, and recharge for the year ahead. We want to extend our warmest wishes to every member of our judo family for a joyful Christmas and a happy New Year.

Our club activities will take a break over the holiday period to allow everyone to enjoy the celebrations. We will pause all training sessions and events starting now and will reopen on Tuesday, 6th January 2026. This break gives us all a chance to rest, recover, and come back stronger in the new year.

Celebrating the Spirit of Judo During the Holidays

Judo is more than just a sport; it’s a community built on respect, discipline, and friendship. The holiday season reminds us of these values as we come together to support one another both on and off the mat. Whether you are a seasoned competitor or a beginner, this time of year is perfect for appreciating the connections we have made through judo.

Many members use this season to reflect on their personal progress and set new goals for the coming year. It’s a moment to celebrate the hard work and dedication that everyone has shown throughout 2025. From mastering new techniques to supporting teammates during competitions, every effort contributes to the strength of our club.

Important Club Closure Dates

To ensure everyone has time to enjoy the holidays, the club will close for the Christmas and New Year period. Please take note of the following dates:

  • Last day of training: Tuesday, 16th December 2025

  • Club closure: Wednesday 17th December 2025 to Monday, 5th January 2026

  • Reopening day: Tuesday, 6th January 2026

During this time, the dojo will be closed, and no training sessions or events will take place. This pause allows our coaches and members to rest and celebrate with their loved ones.

How to Make the Most of the Holiday Break

Even though the club is closed, there are ways to stay connected to judo and keep your skills sharp during the holidays:

  • Practice basic movements at home: Simple exercises like breakfalls, footwork drills, and stretching can keep your body ready for training.

  • Watch judo matches: Reviewing videos of competitions can inspire new techniques and strategies.

  • Set personal goals: Think about what you want to achieve in 2026, whether it’s improving a throw, increasing fitness, or attending more competitions.

  • Connect with fellow members: Share holiday greetings and training tips through club social channels or messaging groups.

Taking small steps during the break will help you return to the dojo motivated and prepared.

A Special Thank You to Our Club Members

This year has been full of memorable moments thanks to the dedication of every club member. Your commitment to training, sportsmanship, and supporting each other has made our community stronger. We appreciate the energy and enthusiasm you bring to every session.

We also want to thank our coaches and volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes. Their guidance and support create a welcoming environment where everyone can grow and enjoy judo.

Looking Ahead to 2026

The new year brings fresh opportunities to learn, compete, and connect. We have exciting plans for upcoming events, workshops, and tournaments that will help all members develop their skills and enjoy the sport even more.

When we reopen on 6th January, we encourage everyone to come back with renewed energy and a positive mindset. Whether you aim to earn a new belt rank or simply enjoy the camaraderie, the club will be here to support your journey.
